These events are scheduled on a rotating basis throughout the season to ensure that every athlete has exposure to experience each event at least once. Some events are scheduled after the standard events on competition night. These events aren't compulsory to complete, but the athletes that do compete in these events will receive their results logged in their ResultsHQ profile and also form part of the points calculation for end of season awards. Here at Balmoral Little Athletics we encourage our athletes to be their best and as a Club, we strive to give our athletes great resources to help them achieve their best. We currently have up to nine qualified coaches at Tuesday's coaching sessions to teach the children new skills, improve their techniques, challenge them with different events and broaden their knowledge on how to train. Our coaching has been very successful and popular in the past years, and at times having up to 100 kids participating on our Tuesday training nights. This is a reflection of our coaches abilities in helping and encouraging our athletes, as well as having FUN! Balmoral Little Athletics is one of a few clubs that offer free regular training to their athletes with qualified coaches. The kids really enjoy coming along on a Tuesday night to better themselves and become one step closer to their athletic goals. (As well as hanging with their friends). If you would like your child to participate in our free training sessions, please come down to the clubhouse by 5.45pm (on a Tuesday night ready) to warm up. Our training times are Tuesdays 6-7pm during the Athletics season. Training does not run in school holidays. Check the calendar on the website for more information. Suitable for ages U6’s to U17’s.
On competition nights our committee operate a BBQ for families starting from 6pm. Items for purchase include, sausage on bread with or without onions and sauce, poppers, water and Zooper Doopers. All profits made on BBQ sales are directly used by club for our facilities and our athletes.
If you need to contact a member of the Committee, please email centremanager@blac.org.au or visit us at the Clubhouse on Wednesdays.
