REGISTRATION TIPS

Online Registrations:

Little Athletics Queensland uses Sport80 for registrations.
Step 1:  Set up an Account
  • New family: If you are a new family looking to join or trial little athletics for the first time, you will need to create an account and password via Sport80, fill in your details and your child(ren)’s details, then select the relevant registration type.
  • Returning family: If you are a returning family, your account will still be active with the same login details from last season. Simply proceed and complete your registration as a ‘returning member’.
Step 2:  Registration Options

When you register you will have two options:

The FULL season:
  • The full season comprises up to 20 weeks of weekly competition on Wednesdays and training on Tuesdays – plus a series of carnivals and regional events for which athletes can nominate and enter for a fee.
  • Please ensure you complete the Athlete Verification within Sport80 to verify your child’s proof of age (birth certificate or passport) if you haven’t uploaded when registering online. Once the club has sighted the athletes proof of age, the document will be automatically purged from our system.
    • If you prefer, you can bring your Proof of Age document to the clubhouse on one of our Sign-On nights for committee members to sight in person.
A TRIAL season:
  • A trial registration covers two weeks of training, competition, and insurance, and costs $40.
    • No results are recorded during the trial period.
    • The cost of trial period is reimbursed to families who choose to sign up for the full season after their trial.
    • Discount codes cannot be applied to trial memberships, but can be used later if the athlete signs up for the full season following the trial.

After you have chosen a membership type, add it to cart and proceed to payment.  PlayOn vouchers are accepted.

After signing up:
Step 3: Collect Uniforms & Registration Pack
  • Club competition uniform (Club polo and navy or black shorts or bike pants), can be purchased from the clubhouse at our Sign-On nights, or on training and competition nights.  (Trialling athletes don’t require a BLAC uniform.)
  • Following your online registration, you can collect your registration pack from the clubhouse, on one of our Sign-On nights or at your first Training/Competition night. We encourage all families to collect their uniforms and packs at a Sign-On night where possible to assist in a smoother start to the season. See below for more information about our Sign-On nights.

Proof of Age & Age Group Allocation

If you’re registering your child for the first time you will need to supply your child’s proof of age, by either birth certificate or passport. The registration of your child cannot be completed without sighting a proof of age for your child.

You can supply this in two ways:

  1.  Upload a copy in the appropriate section of the online registration process
  2.  Bring the original birth certificate or passport to one of the Sign-On nights. Or bring it to the clubhouse on your first competition night, after you have completed the registration process.

When you complete the online registration, the age group for your child will be automatically allocated according to their date of birth.

AGE GROUP TABLE

This table indicates which age group corresponds to each year of birth.

Please note:
All children must participate in their correct age group as listed on the table, regardless of their abilities or friendship groups.

SIGN ON NIGHTS

Sign-On nights serve 3 purposes. They are a great night to attend if you are:

  • New to Little Athletics and just wanting to ask some questions
  • Ready to sign up, but needing some assistance with the registration process
  • Already registered and ready to collect your registration pack, purchase any uniforms, or have your child’s proof of age sighted (if you didn’t do this with your online registration).

Our sign-on nights for the 2026/27 season are from 5:30-6:30pm on:

  • Wednesday 26th August
  • Tuesday 1st September

You only need to attend one Sign-On night, and there is no need to RSVP – simply come along.

It is not required for your child to attend with you, though most families choose to bring them along.

Triallists do not need to attend a Sign-On night, unless they’d like to come down and speak to a committee member in person to ask questions.

If you can’t make a Sign-On Night, you are able to collect your Registration Pack and purchase uniforms on your first training or competition night. However, we strongly recommend attending a Sign-On night if possible, as the first few weeks of the season can be very busy at the clubhouse.
